18 March 2007

Well we are still in Kampala and will be till Wednesday for sure. So there are good things and bad things with having to stay longer. Being away from home and spending all this money isn't so nice. But Angie and I got to go to the flee market here Saturday, we are enjoying the pool, and got to go to the International church here at the International Christian School. We have also been finding new places and eating at new restaurant.

The flee market was good. I got a skirt and some crafts. A lady selling those necklaces that we sold at our auction was there with thousands of necklaces! The church service was good. The school reminded me of Hillcrest in Jos but the service was much more lively and worshipful. We didn't agree with a couple things the pastor said though. Lydia loved having children's church again. We have met a lot of people staying at the ARA and quite a few of them go to the International Church. They have been very friendly and some have been very helpful.

After church we went for lunch (which took and hour and a half – very normal – our poor kids – guess they will learn patience) then went to Entebbe to the zoo. Entebbe is about 40min from here and is where the airport is. It was hot at the zoo but we had a nice time. It is actually a wildlife park. The animals are in very natural settings and some of the monkeys were even roaming free. The best part was the Rhinos. They were right up to the bars and Tim could pet their horns. They are a big, amazing animals. The zoo is also on Lake Victoria. What a beautiful view. There were donkey rides for 30cents but all three of the girls were too scared. We had a very nice afternoon.

We finally found cheap, local food near our hotel and ate there tonight. We all likes our meals and were very full for a fraction of the price. They were so happy we came and ate at their place.

Grace was so cute falling the other night. She just talked and talked. Her little hands were just a going. She would jabber, jabber, say no, jabber, no, no, jabber, jabber, meow... She had quite the story or sermon. Then she slowly fell asleep.
