So it has been a few days, so let me catch up with you. There has been ups and downs this week. The ARA (our hotel) has been very nice. The kids have enjoyed it and it has been nice for Angie and I to have things to do with kids while the guys are gone all day. The not so nice part is the mosquitoes here. We have all gotten our share of bits.
The guys have been busy going to immigrations, getting drivers license, going to the KLM office for Tim and Angie's bag, registering at the embassies... It takes forever to do anything. Each place has a different way of doing things that the guys have to figure out. Most of the paper work is started but who knows what else we need to do and how long it will take.
By the end of each day the guys are tired and frustrated and the moms are even more tired and crabby. It has been too easy to take out our frustrations on each other. Thankfully we have all been patience with each other and have said sorry often.
The girls are doing well. Avalien has gone pee and poop on the potty this week. Can you believe it?! Lydia sang all the way home from dinner last night in the car. She thanked God for everything – even her underwear. She brings us a lot of joy and I am sure God enjoys her praise too. The girls have been with each other so much that they have learned each others traits and words. Grace on says “me do” thanks to Avalien. But she doesn't know what it exactly means. Avalien has caught on to my girls defiant no's. Grace is big into “owies” like her big sister. We have daily, sometimes hourly, owies with Lydia and instantly Grace has one too in the same spot. Usually a bandage and a kiss does the job.
